COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP & ADVOCACY · LAMPLIGHT WELLNESS
The infrastructure of a thriving community — great schools, strong employers, healthcare, faith communities, economic opportunity — only works when the people inside it have the internal capacity to use it. Emotional intelligence, mental wellness, and the conditions for human flourishing are not soft priorities. They are the missing layer in most community development strategies.
Lamplight Wellness brings 30 years of clinical expertise, the Fayette Flourishing Framework™, and deep cross-sector relationships to the work of building that layer — through keynotes, coalition building, strategic consultation, youth behavioral health advocacy, and community-wide planning.
THE URGENCY — WHAT THE DATA SAYS
Consecutive years of documented increases in stress, anxiety, depression, self-harm, and suicidal ideation among Fayette County youth
Tracked by the Fayette Youth Behavioral Health Alliance · Data presented at the Youth First Community Forum, February 2026 · Approximately 80 cross-sector leaders in attendance
In the fall of 2025, Fayette County schools experienced a cluster of student and staff suicides in a matter of weeks. Community leaders who had been watching the data for years said what they had been saying all along — this is not a school problem or a family problem or a mental health system problem. It is a community problem. And it requires a community response.
THE QUESTION THE YOUTH FIRST FORUM ENDED WITH
"If we do nothing — what happens to our youth?"
Eighty leaders from across every sector of Fayette County stayed to answer that question. They signed up for Phase Two. The work is now beginning.
It is always more expensive to respond to a crisis than to invest in prevention. The window to build this infrastructure intentionally — before the next crisis forces a reactive response — is now.
THE FAYETTE FLOURISHING FRAMEWORK™
The Fayette Flourishing Framework™ is an evidence-based community wellness strategy grounded in the Harvard Human Flourishing Program research. It moves through three interconnected tiers — building from individual internal capacity to active community practice to the shared destination of a genuinely flourishing county.
TIER 1 · FOUNDATION
The internal skill set
Self-awareness
Self-regulation
Motivation
Empathy
Social skills
TIER 2 · BRIDGE
The active practice
Resilience
Stress literacy
Help-seeking
Healthy boundaries
Recovery skills
TIER 3 · SUMMIT
The internal skill set
Happiness & life satisfaction
Mental & physical health
Meaning & purpose
Character & virtue
Close social relationships
You cannot start at tier three. A community that declares itself committed to flourishing without investing in the emotional intelligence and mental wellness of its people is building from the roof down. The five Harvard domains at tier three represent the evidence-based destination — and the measure of whether a community is actually succeeding.
01
How satisfied and engaged are the people in this community with their lives?
02
Are residents functioning well — in body and mind — or surviving week to week?
03
Do people feel that what they do and who they are matters — at home, at work, in community?
04
Are community leaders and institutions acting with integrity, wisdom, and the long view?
05
Are relationships in this community deep, trustworthy, and mutual — or transactional and isolated?

WHAT LAMPLIGHT WELLNESS OFFERS COMMUNITIES
Community mental health work requires more than a keynote. It requires someone who understands the data, knows the institutions, has built relationships across sectors, and can translate clinical expertise into a language that school boards, hospital trustees, chambers of commerce, and county commissioners can act on. That is the work Lamplight Wellness brings.
Community keynotes & public forums
Engaging, research-grounded presentations on youth mental health, human flourishing, the neuroscience of community stress, and the case for coordinated behavioral health investment — for public forums, government meetings, conferences, and community convenings.
Coalition building & strategic facilitation
Facilitating cross-sector coalitions — bringing together schools, healthcare, businesses, faith communities, nonprofits, and government — around a shared framework, shared data, and a coordinated action plan. Modeled on the collaborative infrastructure that produces lasting community change.
Youth behavioral health consultation
Strategic consultation for school systems, youth-serving organizations, and county coalitions working to address the documented rise in youth mental health challenges. Drawing on clinical expertise, community data, and a network of cross-sector partners committed to a coordinated youth mental health response.
Organizational mental health assessment
A structured assessment of where a community institution — school system, healthcare organization, county agency, chamber — currently stands in its capacity to support the mental wellness of its people, with a phased roadmap for closing identified gaps.
Trauma-informed community consultation
Helping institutions understand how trauma shows up at the community level — in populations, in institutions, in inter-organizational dynamics — and how to build systems that respond with awareness, coordination, and clinical grounding rather than crisis reaction.
Ongoing strategic partnership
For communities and institutions committed to sustained investment in human flourishing — a long-term consulting relationship that supports community strategy, coalition leadership, public education, and the integration of mental wellness into the county's institutional infrastructure.
WHO WE PARTNER WITH
Human flourishing is a community-wide project. No single sector can build it alone. Lamplight Wellness partners with institutions across Fayette County and the broader region that are ready to make mental health a community-wide priority.
